As our Design Contest is an Ongoing one, there will be no periodic announcement of winners. Each design will be featured in the Vote section for 60 days and depending on the hype it creates in terms of votes and comments, any given design might be chosen for printing anytime within this 60 day period.

So give your best and create the hype!

hi guys, i just joined here after getting an invite. i just put up 3 designs from 1 range and i look forward to your comments if they make it up on the site.

just wanted to say hello to everybody and wish good luck with the business! i think this site's been done real nicely so far so it should have all the chances getting popular in no time. well, that's why i'm here, anyway.

another thing -- just a personal preference but i'm really against the idea that you can vote negative on other people designs. this only opens room for dishonest people. and it makes not much sense, too, since you don't need negative votes to decide which designs to print. you only need to know how many people would like to buy the design, not how many people are *totally* against buying the design. whether i just don't buy it 'cause i ignore it or i don't buy it 'cause i hate it doesn't change the sale numbers a bit, am i right?

anyway, negative voting is the reason why i quickly went away from threadless and no negative voting is why i'm so in love with designbyhumans. positive audience often inspires artists more than money.

Just to clear your minds on the voting issue... Please do not worry about negative voting as the final decision on which designs get to be printed will be up to itself.

We believe in constructive criticism and we'd like to encourage people to actually come up with suggestions rather than taking the short cut and solely express their dislike towards a design.

After all a good design will always stand out no matter what...

Be creative, be positive!

Surely voting doesn't influence the final decision but then why let dishonest people walk around and vote zero on everything? It just makes the atmosphere on the site a whole more negative. Since you're aware all the time that there are those people around and also you can't trust people's comments since I've already spotted (not just once! i'd say 1 out of 3 person's i've checked) that people who walk around leaving only positive comments often saying "+5" actually have the avarage score at 1 or sometimes even 0. Why tolerate that when you can just remove negative voting whatsoever?

Does it take much to change the system so that instead of counting the average of the votes it would sum up all the votes? in that case the scale would just be from a very positive to a little bit positive and end with a neutral.
